1. Services
DotWeb IT Solutions ("DotWeb", "we", "us") provides web design and development, WordPress development, e-commerce development, search engine optimisation, content writing, digital marketing and brand identity services to business clients. These Terms apply to all such work unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
Services are provided on a project basis. DotWeb does not currently offer subscriptions, automatic recurring billing, recurring maintenance plans, recurring retainers, or free trials that convert into paid services. If recurring services are introduced in future, their terms will be set out separately and agreed before any recurring charge is made.
2. Quotations and written scope
Every engagement is quoted against a written scope that lists the deliverables, the project price and the expected timeline. Work not listed in that scope is not included in the price.
A quotation is an offer to perform the described work. It becomes an agreement when you approve the scope and payment is completed.
3. Pricing and currency
Pricing shown on our service pages represents typical project ranges. Final pricing depends on the exact scope, complexity, deliverables, integrations, volume of work and other project requirements. Your exact project price and expected timeline are confirmed before payment.
Once confirmed against an agreed written scope, the project price is fixed for that scope. Invoicing is available in CAD or USD based on client preference; the currency is confirmed before payment. Where a price is stated, the currency code is stated with it. Applicable taxes are added where required by law.
4. Payment
Once the project scope and price are confirmed, DotWeb sends a secure Stripe payment link by email. The payment page may display our Premium Plan payment option; the client enters the exact amount confirmed for their project. A different amount should not be entered unless DotWeb has confirmed the change in writing.
The amount is agreed between the parties before the link is sent. The client does not independently determine the project price.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. DotWeb does not store card details. DotWeb does not operate a checkout or "buy now" purchase flow for custom development work; every engagement begins with an enquiry, a written scope and a confirmed price.
5. Payment identification
Payments are processed through Stripe. DotWeb IT Solutions does not store card details. Depending on the card issuer or payment method, the transaction may appear on the customer’s statement using the descriptor SECUREDOTWEB.
Your card or bank statement may display SECUREDOTWEB for payments made to DotWeb IT Solutions. This is our configured Stripe statement descriptor and refers to the same business.
Before the payment link is sent, DotWeb confirms the business name, the project or service, the exact quoted amount, the currency and the statement descriptor. After payment, a confirmation is provided repeating those details.
Customers are encouraged to retain their payment confirmation and project correspondence for reference, so a transaction can be identified easily on a statement at a later date.
6. Commencement of work
Once payment and the required project materials and access are received, project initiation typically occurs within 24–48 hours. Where either is outstanding, the start of work is deferred until they are received.
24–48 hours refers to the start of work, not to completion or delivery. It is not a delivery guarantee.
7. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide, in a timely manner, the content, feedback, approvals and access required for the work. This may include hosting and domain access, existing site credentials, brand assets, product data and any third-party account access needed for integrations.
Delays in providing these extend timelines correspondingly and may require the work to be rescheduled around other commitments.
8. Delivery timelines
Delivery time depends on project scope, complexity and service type, and is confirmed before payment. Our service pages publish typical timelines alongside each pricing range so you can see indicative durations before enquiring.
Those published timelines are typical rather than guaranteed. The timeline that applies to your engagement is the one stated in your written scope, and it may extend where required materials, access, feedback or approvals are outstanding.
9. Scope changes and revisions
Revisions within the agreed scope are included in the project price. Requests that add to or change the agreed deliverables are quoted separately in writing and begin only once approved.
10. Third-party services and platforms
Projects commonly rely on third-party software and services, including hosting providers, WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Stripe, Google services and others. These are provided by their own operators under their own terms.
DotWeb is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of any of these providers unless expressly stated. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing, policy decisions or changes, and we cannot grant you ownership of software or licences we do not own.
11. Deployment and handover
Where applicable, work is developed in a staging environment for review before deployment to production. On completion, the agreed final assets are handed over. Depending on the scope, this may include code, credentials, design files, source files and other agreed project assets.
12. Ownership and intellectual property
Full ownership of the agreed deliverables transfers to the client at completion of the project.
This transfer does not extend to third-party software, licences, themes, plugins, platforms, fonts or other intellectual property that DotWeb does not own. Those remain subject to their own licence terms. DotWeb retains the right to reuse general knowledge, techniques and non-client-specific code libraries.
13. Client-supplied material
You confirm that any material you supply — text, images, logos, product data or otherwise — is yours to use and does not infringe the rights of any third party. You remain responsible for the accuracy of information you provide for publication.
14. Defect correction
Thirty days of defect correction is included after delivery. A defect is delivered work that does not materially conform to the agreed written scope.
This is defect correction, not unlimited support, unlimited revisions or permanent maintenance. It does not cover new features, changes of mind, third-party platform changes, hosting failures, or issues caused by modifications made by others after handover. Ongoing maintenance can be quoted separately.
15. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. That policy sets out how requests are handled at each stage of a project: before development begins, while development is in progress, and once work has been substantially completed or delivered.
The thirty days of defect correction described above is a warranty on delivered work. It is separate from refund eligibility and is not a thirty-day refund window.
16. Limitations
DotWeb does not guarantee search engine rankings, search traffic, advertising performance, lead volume, revenue or any other commercial outcome. These depend on systems, competitors and markets outside our control. What we commit to is the delivery of the scoped work to a professional standard.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid to us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Termination
Either party may end an engagement in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy. DotWeb may suspend or end work where required information or access is not provided, or where continuing would require us to act unlawfully. The sections on ownership, client-supplied material, limitations and general terms survive termination.
