Content writing

Write the page before you decorate it.

Copy that says what the business does, who it is for and what happens next — structured so a reader can scan it and a search engine can follow it. Written for people first.

Structure first, sentences second.

What the reader wants and what the business needs decide the outline. The outline decides the page. The sentences come last, which is why they end up shorter.

01 — APPROACH
Approach

Most weak copy is a structure problem wearing a vocabulary problem.

Pages usually fail before a word is written. Three ideas compete for the same paragraph, the reason to act sits below the fold, and the thing the business actually wants is never asked for. No amount of rewriting sentences fixes a page that was never planned.

So we work outward: what the reader arrived to find, what the business needs them to understand, and what should happen at the end. Then the page is written to that, and edited down.

  • No guaranteed search outcomes. Content supports search work. It is not a ranking promise and we will not present it as one.
  • One job per page. Each page is written toward a single action, rather than hedging between three.
  • Structured for scanning. Headings, order and length assume a reader who is skimming, because most are.
  • Plain language. If a sentence needs a second reading to parse, it gets rewritten.
